A mercenary John Seeger (Steven Seagal) is hired by the CIA. The mission he has been assigned turns out to be a diversion while other forces are sent to assassinate an ambassador. During the mission, Seeger’s best friend and partner is killed in action. The CIA denies any knowledge of the covert operation and refuses to compensate the dead soldier’s family so Seeger promises to look after them. However, his friend’s wife and son are kidnapped by terrorists. The only way the terrorists will release the family is if Seeger frees the son of a billionaire who is held in a South African prison. A former colleague of Seeger, fellow covert ops soldier John Dresham (Like Goss) finds out about the new mission and follows Seeger to South Africa with the intention of killing him. Working with his old team, Seeger must find a way free the family from the terrorists by securing the escape of the billionaire’s son while trying to evade his own capture and imminent death at the hand of his former colleague.
