Special forces Colonel, John Matrix (Arnold Schwazeneggar), has retired to live in an isolated mountain home with his daughter Jenny (Alyssa Milano). Matrix is living a peaceful life and enjoying time with his daughter. Suddenly the other members of his unit are killed off. Matrix is warned by his friend and former boss, General Franklin Kirby (James Olson) and supplied with guards to protect him. An attack then takes place in which all the guards are killed and Matrix’s daughter is kidnapped. After the attack Matrix is captured and brought to the warlord, Arius (Dan Hedaya) who demands that Matrix assassinate the president of Arius’ homeland, thus clearing the way for Arius’ rise to power. Arius tells Matrix that if he refuses his daughter will be killed. Matrix reluctantly accepts this mission. But as soon as Matrix is on his way to assassinate Arius’ rival plans change and Matrix makes a daring escape. He only has a short time to rescue his daughter before his defection from the mission is noticed and his daughter is killed. Matrix then prepares to attack Arius’ island mission to rescue his daughter with the help of the lovely flight attendant Cindy (Rae Dawn Chong).
