The lovable and very quiet Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) is sent by his employers and the London Royal National Gallery in a ploy to get rid of him and his bungling ineptness. Taking the painting 'Whistler's Mother' from the National Gallery under the name Dr. Bean, he is to oversee its safe arrival at the Los Angeles art gallery. In typical Bean fashion he manages to create many different scenes of mayhem and mishaps as he manages to bungle his way to a successful completion of his assignment. Of course this is not without a great deal of distress and annoyance on the part of others besides Mr. Bean!
