After being abused as a drug mule by the Chinese triads archeology professor Robert Burns (Steven Seagal) finds himself in prison. Being released after several years, all he wants to do is go back to his university and teach. Of course everything turns out differently, as both triads and police won't leave him alone. But when the Chinese mafia threatens to kill his family, they soon realize that Burns is not the guy you want to mess with. Together with his beautiful assistant Luo Yi (Elaine Tan) he takes on a mission to track down every member of the cartel and kill them.
