Mr. and Mrs. Elkman (Jon Clair, Mari Morrow) don’t know what they are getting into when they agree to foster two orphans from Gatlin. Eli (Daniel Cerny) and Joshua (Ron Melendez) Porter are left parentless after the mysterious death of their parents. Upon arrival in Chicago, where the Elkmans live, Eli opens his suitcase to reveal corn taken from the fields of Gatlin. He plants the seeds and people are amazed at the fast rate of growth. Joshua begins to notice some strange behavior from Eli. It is almost as if anyone who crosses Eli meets some bizarre accident. As the events escalate, Joshua begins to fear that Eli may somehow be responsible for their parent’s death and vows to break the hold of the malicious corn on his brother.
