Based on the novella of the same name, Children of the Corn opens with the arrival of Burt (Peter Horton) and Vicky (Linda Hamilton) in the town of Gatlin. On the surface, Gatlin seems like a normal mid-western town, but they soon discover something very strange - that there are no adults in sight. They choose to stay a little longer and soon discover that the children are in the control of a boy-preacher named Isaac (John Franklin), and that it is they who have murdered the adults of the town as a sacrifice to a god-like figure who lives in the local corn fields. The couple realize that they are in danger, but will they be able to escape?
