Jack Cole (Steven Seagal) was once an intelligence agent known as the Glimmer Man. He received this name because his victims would see a glimmer before they died. Cole leaves his Glimmer Man job behind him and becomes fascinated with Eastern mysticism and starts a job as a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. Cole's new partner is Jim Campbell (Keenan Ivory Wayans) a no non-sense cop who isn't much interested in Cole's fascination with Eastern philosophies. Together Cole and Campbell must track down a killer known as the Family Man.
