Thomas Archer (Ron Eldard) and his wife Sarah (Marisa Coughlan) have a happy successful family. Their world is turned upside down when they return home one night to find their babysitter dead and their son dying on the floor of his room, with the killed still in the house. The Archers are attacked, but survive, only to have to learn how to cope with the death of their son and the stress of the police investigations. Thomas snaps one night and takes his frustrations out on the police detective who told him they would probably not find the killer. He agrees to see a counselor, Dr. Heller (Christopher Plummer), to avoid jail time for his attack. Everything about Thomas’ life has suffered since the murders, and Dr. Heller suggests a little investigating of his own. He would put Thomas in contact with a group that is willing to track down the killer and let Thomas handle his punishment. Just how far would someone go to get revenge for their murdered loved ones?
