A police informant forwards a letter containing highly delicate information on an illegal drug operation to his confidant and friend, Yi-Ching (Rosamund Kwan). During a holiday in Thailand, the informant is assassinated by the drug lord's accomplice and, to cover-up their operation, they try to take out Yi-Ching and double-agent Lau (James Tien). Back in Hong Kong, police detectives Muscles (Jackie Chan) and Ricky Fung (Biau Yuen) are designated and entrusted to protect Lau and Inspector Barbara Woo (Sibelle Hu) is assigned to protect Yi-Ching. She takes her to the refuge of the "Five Lucky Stars" and also enlists their help in bringing down the drug operation.
