Some con men called Five Lucky Stars get out of jail and get jobs with a firm that hires cleaners. The leader is Curly/Jack So (John Shum) he had been framed for fomenting an uproar from a crowd. The other ex-cons are Larry (Stanley Fung), Teapot (Sammo Hung), Vaseline (Charlie Chin), and Exhaust Pipe (Richard Ng). Jack’s sister, Sis (Cherie Chung), is the one they live with and try to get attention from. A briefcase that is loaded with counterfeit money shows up; it is the property of Chan Chiu (James Tien), a gangster. He wanted to trade it with another gang, but it ends up in the hands of the con men group. An agent known only as 7086 (Jackie Chan) wants the case too.
