In the timeless fight between heaven and hell, the Angels are left to do battle. Heaven-sent Arc angels battle Fallen angels for the right to all of the souls in Purgatory. Hell has the upper hand, and the last Arc angel, Gabriel (Andy Whitfield), standing has to restore the light to Purgatory and find out what happened to his companions. Gabriel finds a few other Arc angels who have descended into dreadful lives since the battles began. They help guide him on his journey to defeat the leader of the Fallen Angels, Sammael (Dwaine Stevenson). Gabriel presses on, working his way toward Sammael while still looking for his best friend Michael (Dwaine Stevenson), a search which turns out to be quite shocking and devastating.
