Luke (Terence Hill) has a pretty easy life. He travels the southwest with his horse, Joe. He runs petty scams as he travels. The scamming comes to an end when he meets a convict named Moose (Norman Bowler) who has a young son, Matt (Ross Hill). Moose wants to make a deal. He forces Luke to become his son’s guardian while he is in prison, and live at his property or Moose will have his friends make trouble for Luke. The experience doesn’t go well at first but life goes on and the two finally accept their situation after some tough times adjusting.
