On an international trip from Athens through Rome and then to New York City a 707 passenger jet is Hijacked by middle eastern terrorists. The hijackers demand to be flown to Beirut, but what they don't know is that an elite Delta Force Commando team has been called in retake the jet and eliminate the terrorists. Colonel Nick Alexander (Lee Marvin) and second in command Major Scott McCoy (Chuck Norris) lead the team while on board a Stewardess (Hanna Schygulla) and a Priest (George Kennedy) try to defuse the situation without a loss of life. Now the Delta Force must fight against the odds to save the lives of the 144 passengers.
